You can discover Penang Island rich history by using one of the bridges that are connected to the Peninsula. Penang became famous thanks to its capital of Georgetown, ex-seat of the British colony.
Its historical centre has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008. Few artists have left their masterpiece among the many hidden roads.
A site not to be missed is Kek Lok Si temple, the biggest Buddhist temple in South East Asia.

The hidden gems of the East Coast

The Perhentian Islands is an archipelago located on the East side of Peninsular Malaysia.
The two main islands where people go are “Perhentian Besar” meaning Big Perhentian and “Perhentian Kecil” meaning Small Perhentian. During your stay you have a choice of either relaxing at the beach or discovering it’s lush green forest. Relaxing is not the only activity offered, take a dip in the ocean to discover its beautiful sea life.

Discover Belum State Park

Royal Belum State Park belongs to a forest reserve by the name of “Belum temengor”. The forest being about 130 millions years old is one of the oldest forest and older than the Amazon Forest.
The rainforest has one of the richest flora and fauna in the world. While trekking in the park some of the lucky tourists will be able to see the the Rafflesia, the largest plant in the world.
The park is still inhabited by more than 1,400 aborigines tribes called “Orang Asli” and some can still be visited to experience their traditional lifestyle. Royal Belum is located in the heart of Temenggor Lake, 2nd largest man-made lake in Malaysia.

Taman Negara & Rompin State Park

Taman Negara, “National Park” in Malay, is one of the oldest forest reserve in the world, being 130 millions years old. It is the most renown because of it size and the rich flora and fauna. Taman Negara is home to more than 14m000 species, between flora and fauna, the forest offers a safe haven for protected and endangered species.
